A new counterpart to antibacterial hand gels is the MyClyns Personal Spray from Drug Enhancement Company of America (DECA ), which you can find at www.clynsbrands.com. The personal spray comes in the form of a pen-like device that you spray directly onto wounds when you cannot clean them with traditional methods right away.
DECA claims following:
- MyClyns Personal Spray is the only solution that does not contain alcohol in it, so it is safe to use on your nose, eyes and mouth.
- Independent laboratory tests show that the solution in MyClyns Personal Spray demonstrates a 99.99% reduction in over 60 potentially dangerous pathogens.
- MyClyns Personal Spray contains a 510(k) medical device solution cleared by the FDA as a wound cleanser (under 21 CFR §880.5090).
- You can spray the MyClyns Personal Spray onto your face, hands, etc. if you are exposed to others who are sick, sniffling and/or coughing to minimize your risk of getting sick.
Pros:
- The MyClyns Personal Spray comes in a small bottle that you can easily carry in a pocket, bag, backpack or purse.
- The lid closure over the spray pump is liquid-tight, so if the product leaks from the top, it will stay contained within the lid.
- The design of the pen is cool.
- The smell of spray is mild and not over-powering, unlike some antibacterial wipes, sprays or gels.
- It is safe enough to spray in your eyes, nose and face.
Cons:
- When I received the product, a lot of the solution had leaked into the cap. As a result, the antibacterial solution spilled on me when I opened the cap for the first time.
- The product came with literature about making money selling the MyClyns Personal Spray and convincing your friends to sell it too. I may have received this because I am reviewing the product, but it was a turn-off.
- The clip on the outside of the cap seemed a little flimsy.
Verdict:
This is a good product for who are involved in sports, have children on sports teams, weakened immune systems or do not like the strong smell of other antibacterial gels or sprays.
