Lotions and Potions: Do Anti-Aging Serums Help?

I received the products mentioned in exchange for an unbiased review on my blog. This post contains affiliate links, meaning that I receive a small commission if you click on an Amazon.com link and make a purchase.

Your skin changes as you age. You bad habits in your 20s and 30s catch up to you when you reach mid-life. As a person in my 30s, I have noticed some fine lines on my face at the inner corners of my eyebrows and one on my forehead. That's what I get for looking concerned.

I always thought that all the serums and creams that magazines and TV shows talk about were all hype. A lot of them are just that, but some actually help.

How Acids and Serums Help

I recently had the opportunity to try the OZ Naturals Vitamin C Serum and OZ Naturals Hyaluronic Acid Serum for a few weeks. The vitamin C serum contains 20 percent vitamin C, 5 percent hyluronic acid and an amino complex. The hyaluronic acid serum contains hyaluronic acid and 10 percent vitamin C. The products don't contain water, alcohol or parabens, and an FDA-registered facility manufactures them.

Vitamin C is supposed to brighten and improve your complexion, and stimulate the production of collagen to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. Hyaluronic acid offers the same benefits and helps your skin absorb your moisturizer.

I found that using the combination of the OZ Naturals products worked amazingly well -- better than expected. While I don't feel younger (like one of their product descriptions said would happen), I do think my skin looks younger and brighter.

The vitamin C serum is fast-absorbing and has helped keep my complexion clear. The hyaluronic acid serum takes a few seconds to absorb and has helped reduce the pesky fine lines that I mentioned. I've only used the acid for a few weeks, so I expect to see ongoing improvements with regular use.

While the prices of the products can seem a bit steep, it's important to remember that a little goes a long way. I use about three drops of the vitamin C serum on my whole face and about one drop of the hyaluronic acid for all my problem areas combined.

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers. This post contains affiliate links.

    1. Hi, Niki. Thanks for your comment and for reading my blog. You may be able to find these types of products in a pharmacy (maybe Fischel), Walmart or a store that sells high-end cosmetics (e.g., Lancome or Estee Lauder).
