NFC tags and NFC stickers are awesome. If you’re not already using them, you’ll want to buy a pack after you read this post. The tags and stickers have an NFC (near field communication) chip that store information in it. When you have an NFC app (e.g., NFC Task Launcher) in your smartphone and turn on the NFC antenna, your phone will perform specific tasks when you place it near an NFC device.

Why in the world would you want to use NFC tags? Because they’re so cool! Here are some creative ways to get your tech on.

NFC tags
Case4Fun sent me a set of its NFC tags. The set comes with 10 colorful tags are sturdy, waterproof, and compatible with my Samsung smartphone. Each tag has 480 bytes of usable memory that retains data for up to five years. The tags are also lockable to protect the data and make them read-only.

These are good tags when you want to use them on zipper pulls, key chains, tabletops and other similar places. They have more memory than other NFC tags and stickers that I've used in the past. I haven't had any problems with them in regards to launching apps. My only gripe is that the tags didn't come with instructions.
