Have You Ever Tried a Hair Mask?

I received the products mentioned in exchange for an unbiased review on my blog. This post contains affiliate links, meaning that I receive a small commission if you click on an Amazon.com link and make a purchase.

A great way to add and keep your hair hydrated is to apply a hair mask to it at least twice a month, especially if you treat it with chemicals or use heated styling tools. My hair is naturally dry because it's curly, so I was eager to try to the Morocco Argan Oil Hair Treatment Mask from Pure & Essential Minerals.

Argan oil is all the rage in the hair care world because it's supposed to:
  • Tame frizz
  • Nourish hair
  • Renew damaged hair

The Review

Right away, the review began badly for this product.

What I received.
When I unpacked the product, the first thing I thought was, "I'm glad I didn't pay for this." The cap was no secured tightly to the jar, so about one-quarter of the mask spilled. Fail.

When I used the product, I noticed that it didn't have a noticeable or significant scent, which is good for those of you who like unscented things.

The texture of the mask is just like hair conditioner. I didn't feel heavy or thick, which was a surprise to me.

Most hair masks say to limit the application to about once every one or two weeks. The fact that the directions on this argan oil hair mask state that you can use it every day led me to the following conclusion: this is expensive hair conditioner in a jar.

To my surprise, the product did make my hair seem less frizzy and more manageable.

Do I recommend this product? If you're looking for a hair mask: no, I don't. If you want an expensive conditioner, this is for you.

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
