When a Face Mask isn't Soothing

I received the products mentioned in exchange for an unbiased review on my blog. This post contains affiliate links, meaning that I receive a small commission if you click on an Amazon.com link and make a purchase.

I like using face masks to keep my skin healthy and my pores clean, so I was eager to try the Dead Sea Mud Facial Mask from Pure & Essential Minerals.

When I opened the jar, I saw that the mask wasn't mud-like at all. It was more like a gel and it felt like a gel when I put it on my face.

The first thing I noticed when I applied the mask is that it BURNED. I attribute this to the eucalyptus oil. I felt like I put Icy Hot on my face.

Instead of leaving the mask on for the recommended 5 to 10 minutes, I had to wash it off after 3 minutes. The burning sensation was too much and the scent/fumes made my eyes water.

I cannot recommend this product to anyone, especially if they have sensitive skin (like me).
I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
