I have the Safe Skins Spiral Vegetable Slicer from Kitopia. It creates long spaghetti-like strips of vegetables in two different sizes. The slicer comes with a storage bag, finger guard and a cleaning brush.
So far, I've spiralized carrots and cucumbers. When I use the finger guard that comes with the slicer, I end up massacring the end of the vegetable, so I tend not to use it. Otherwise, this kitchen gadget makes eating vegetables fun.
I think it would be fun to make pickled beets using the slicer. I'm working up the courage to make zucchini "pasta." If I like it, it will be a nice substitute since I'm on a low-carb diet.
