Technical Difficulties

I cleaned up the shield I did for my church with my drawing of St. Michael. I stretched the words so they are no so distorted, changed the lips so they are not so fat, evened out the face some, changed some of the shading in random places, and lightened the armor so St. Michael does not look like a warrior child.

However, I am not sure why that line is there. I'll have to crop it out.

What Holding a Panda Will Cost You

Do you have $125 for 2 minutes of excitement? If so, the Chengdu's Panda Breeding and Research Center will let you hold a panda on your lap for the full 120 seconds.

This would be totally worth it for me if I knew I would not feel bad about spending that money on the experience. Realistically, though, $120 can feed a family, pay a couple of my bills, buy Christmas presents, or buy some really great books.

I wonder how much it would cost to just pet a panda.

Cute Pics

I couldn't resist posting these photos. Enjoy!

This is a stuffed animal panda, but it looks kind of real. I wonder if the guy had to pay a plane ticket since the panda is in its own seat.

Pretty good costume.

So cute! I wish I had a baby panda that rocked on a blue horse.

Nap time: my favorite hobby.

It is TOOOOOO HOT!

It is really, really, really HOT and has been for the last three days. We have been over 100-degrees for those last three days and can't take it anymore. I guess it would be different if I forked out the money to get A/C, but I'm cheap like that.

I really need to stay hydrated better, though, because I made myself sick by just sitting on the couch and not drinking fluids yesterday.

I'm trying to think of free/inexpensive things to do in the area that have air conditioning I can mooch off of. I was thinking of going to the hospital to loiter and watch movies on my computer. Would anyone there care if I did that? They should let me since I just dumped a bunch of money there to pay for my surgery.

I went to a new Asian supermarket that is close to my home: HMart. I love it there and could have spent the entire day there! Everyone there is really nice. The lady giving out dumpling samples showed me her favorite wheat-free foods, including moshi (pronounced "mow-sh") and rice cakes for soups. I bought a rice dumpling with ice cream in it and crystal noodles which are clear noodles made out of beans. I'll get more when I know I'll be able to refrigerate the items soon after purchasing them. Then I got a lot of points for my purchase with my free membership, but I'm not sure what the points are good for.

I Love Pandas!

My favorite animal is the PANDA BEAR. Here are some pictures I found of people who look like they have fun jobs taking care of pandas:

Surrounded by baby pandas....lucky!

"I love my job!"

Since I will probably NEVER own a panda, I will settle for a dog that looks like a panda...like this one.
