Alicia Keys has nice music and has talent I envied.
However, the AP reported about some of the interesting theories Keys believes to be true. For example,
"`Gangsta rap' was a ploy to convince black people to kill each other. `Gangsta rap' didn't exist."What?!?! What government? Who in the government? I think the government has more important things to worry about...like Janet Jackson performing on live TV.
She also believes Tupac Shakur and Notorious B.I.G., rappers who were killed, to have been great leaders that the government and the media killed.
I guess those guys really didn't hang out with gang members, pimps, drug dealers, and had rival rappers. The media and government were probably mad at these "great leaders" for opening hospitals, dog parks, feeding the poor, etc. Maybe each piece of "bling" they wore represented a charitable organization they lifted up.
