Black Diamond, a company whose products I’ve reviewed a couple times in the last year, sent me their Granite Cleaner. In addition to granite, this cleaner is safe to use on marble and tile, is 100% biodegradable and is okay to use in the kitchen and bathroom. The streak-free formula effectively removes dirt and grime without leaving any residue or a weird rainbow-like shine.
I used Granite Cleaner in my bathroom in my sink, shower and toilet. (Yes, I tested it in unconventional places. Why not?) The first thing I noticed was the smell—there was none. Most household cleaners, especially those with bleach, have harsh smells and chemicals that I can barely tolerate. I could breathe around Granite Cleaner and my eyes did not burn. I also like that Granite Cleaner is safe to use around pets because my cat jumps up onto my bathroom counter. Another bonus: the cleaner has a “PS-3” shield, which protects surfaces against future grime. When I finished cleaning the bathroom, it sparkled. I’ve never said this about my bathroom before, but it really did look good.
