The Slice ™ Safety Cutter is small and you can’t see its blade, but it’s might. It uses a small ceramic blade that is über-sharp, making the “Slice ™ Safety Cutter – great for couponers.”
When I received the Slice, I immediately began cutting paper with it. My husband proceeded to see if you really could not cut yourself with the blade, as the packaging advertises. But, if you press the blade down REALLY hard onto your skin, you will draw blood. I tested the Slice on the following paper types:
- Regular copy paper—works well
- Cardstock—works okay if your press hard
- Cardboard—does not work well
- Plastic packaging—works well
- Cellophane on envelopes—works well
I found it difficult to cut in a straight line using the Slice, but love it for opening envelopes. Another feature I really like about the Slice is that it has a built-in magnet, which allows me to keep it within reach at my desk because I have a magnetic board next to it. There is also a small hole on the cutter so you can hang it on a key chain or lanyard.
All in all, I like the Slice™ safety cutter and recommend it for cutting wrapping paper or crafting.
I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
This would be awesome for my recent endevors into the coupon world..
