The New #CoronaRita at Chili’s (21+)

This post brought to you by Chili’s Grill & Bar. All opinions are 100% mine.
Cinco de Mayo is the perfect time to get into a partying state of mind. If you need a little encouragement, Chili’s can help you celebrate in culinary style.
The festive Mexican holiday that the nation loves to celebrate commemorates the Day of the Battle of Puebla, when the Mexican army beat the French forces under the leadership of General Ignacio Zaragoza Seguín. In the U.S., we celebrate Cinco de Mayo in honor of Mexican pride and heritage.

Perfect for Any Occasion

Go to Chili’s for a special girls’-night-out, an after-graduation celebration, family dinner or for a fun date night. The great thing about Chili’s is that you don’t need an excuse to go! Hit up Chili’s for lunch and order on of the Lunch Break specials, which start at $6.

My Chili’s Favorites

Even though I can’t eat wheat, I can still have a great meal at Chili’s. Gluten-free choices include steak, baby back ribs, grilled chicken entrées and entrée salads. The most mouth-water menu item that I want to try is the Margarita Grilled Chicken because it comes with citrus-flavored grilled chicken, black beans, rice and pico de gallo. The plate also comes with tortilla strips, but I’m not sure if the tortilla is made of corn or flour.

A New Beverage to Pair with Your Meal

The perfect alcoholic beverage to add to your celebration is the new CoronaRita Margarita, which is perfect if you love beer and margaritas. The CoronaRita at Chili's is made with Jose Cuervo Especial Tequila and Coronita Cerveza, and goes perfectly with the Margarita Grilled Chicken that I want to try. While I don’t personally like the taste of any beer, it may actually taste okay when mixed with a margarita. (Time for an experiment.) Many beers contain gluten, but Coronita is gluten-free.

  1. One of my favorite summer drinks, I was actually able to find the Corona Rita bottle holders that Joe's Crab Shack and Chillis use at http://www.xtremebarware.com
