Costume for 2012

I finally have a Halloween costume for 2012. I haven't owned a costume since I was a kid, so I usually dress up as a gypsy and wear anything that's billowy or gilded from my closet. This year I am going to dress as an Olympic goddess thanks to Wholesale Halloween Costumes, which sent me a free costume to review.

This costume is made out of lightweight polyester that has a double lining above the belted waist. The sash that you see in the picture is not connected to the shoulder strap, and the opposite strap (which you cannot see in the picture) is actually a clear band that helps keep the top portion of the dress in place (it's a necessary addition). The costume also includes a headband and a pin that you attach just below the front of the shoulder strap.

Overall, I think the costume is great. I like that it doesn't feel too heavy. However, I would recommend wearing a slip (or skin-colored underwear) because I could see my white bloomers through the costume's fabric. Pair the costume with a pair of gladiator sandals, metallic bracelets and gold-toned makeup to complete the look.

One of the best things about Wholesale Halloween Costumes is the large selection of  costume themes, like superheroes, 1970s, 1980s,1920s, 1950s, fairytales, animals, horror, gothic, occupational and more. I definitely recommend that you check out their selection of popular costumes.
