Natural Pain Relief for Sore Muscles & Joints

I received the following product in exchange for my honest review. This post contains affiliate links.

Back ache? Knee hurt? Roll your ankle? If you've suffered from any of these ailments or others that make your body feel sore, the MuscleCare Natural Pain Relief Gel may be the natural solution you seek.

My back and right hip seem to hurt all the time. The only thing that changes is the intensity of the pain. So far, I've learned to live with the pain and ignore mild to moderate pain. Sometimes, however, the pain is just too intense to ignore, but I don't want to take strong pain killers that make me feel loopy or sleepy. I also don't want to take too many over-the-counter medications because they can take a toll on livers, and I only have one.

When MuscleCare offered the chance to try its natural pain relief solution, a roll-on gel, I was interested...and skeptical.

MuscleCare claims that its product is:

  • Scientifically and clinically proven to reduce inflammation, pain and muscle spasms.
  • The strongest all-natural, scientifically based topical analgesic that you can buy without a prescription.
  • Long-lasting.
  • Free of suspected carcinogens, such as coloring agents and methyl-and proply-parabens.
  • Highly absorbable.
  • Effective in as little as 30 seconds.
Ingredients in the gel include magnesium, MSM, glucosamine and chondroitin to help improve circulation, relax muscle tension and promote healing. Camphor and menthol offer immediate pain relief.

My Experience

When I first tried the Natural Pain Relief Gel, I found the packaging peculiar and interesting. The roll-on applicator reminded me of deodorant. The roll-on applicator is highly beneficial because it allows me to spread the gel on my back or any other part of my body without getting it all over my hands.

On a couple of nights when my back pain was so bad that I couldn't sleep, I slathered the gel all over my back. The warmth from the camphor and menthol impressively helped ease the tension that I felt, allowing me to relax enough to catch some ZZZs. This warmth is comfortable; it does not make your skin feel like it's on fire.

The gel does smell like menthol, but I don't mind it.

My husband suffers from severe chronic hip, back and leg pain from a car accident. He was more skeptical than me about the gel. At first, he said that the product was just okay. A few days later, however, I found him applying the gel all over his lower back because it offers a boost of pain relief that other products or medicines offer. He now keeps a bottle near him.

The one thing about the gel that doesn't make sense to me is the labeling. On the bottom corner of the label on the bottle, it reads, "Pull here." When you pull it, you find instructions in Spanish. In my opinion, that part of the label should read, "Tire aquĆ," so people who speak Spanish know what to do.

If you have any aches or pains, I recommend that you try the MuscleCare Natural Pain Relief Gel, which you can also purchase as an ointment that you apply by-hand.

I received one or more of the products mentioned above for free using Tomoson.com. Regardless, I only recommend products or services I use personally and believe will be good for my readers.
