Finally…elegant, flattering plus-sized clothing & Giveaway

Designed and made in San Francisco, CA, the IGIGI by Yuliya Raquel line of clothing comes in sizes 12-32. The dress I had the opportunity review is the Francesca in Royal Blue. I usually do a review of the pro’s and con’s of the items sent to me, but I liked everything about the dress. The image below from the IGIGI site, without the text, is of the dress I reviewed.

The Francesca comes in Black, Merlot (burgundy-like color) and Royal Blue and is made of a poly/elastane material, which adds a little bit of stretch to the fabric. The dress is versatile in that you can use it for casual or formal occasions, it has a neckline that allows you to wear the dress on or off the shoulder, has a flattering empire waist, ¾-length sleeves so you don’t get too hot or cold, its skirt is flared below the knee and the dress is fully lined. What I liked best about the dress is that the cut is extremely flattering and not bulky at all, and the dress is lightweight. The empire waist hides belly “flaws” without the use of constricting fabrics, so you can give your shape-ware a rest if you choose. The dress looks great with or without a belt, and you can dress it up with a wrap or dress it down with a trendy jacket.

One thing to note about the IGIGI clothing line is that the size run big. For example, I am typically a size 14 or 16. However, according to the IGIGI size chart, I am a size 12. I trusted the company’s size chart, ordered a size 12 and was not disappointed.

  1. a flattering plus sized dress? trust me, my wardrobe would really benefit from that!! it's so hard to find plus sized clothing that flatters...particularly if you're larger than department store plus sizes but a bit smaller than a majority of the lane bryant sizes.
