Stain removal product review

Doing the laundry is one of my least favorite chores, so anything that helps make the process easier is always worth a try. I recently had the opportunity to try PitStop, which is featured in the March 2011 issue of Shape Magazine. PitStop is a laundry product that is supposed to remove underarm stain on shirts and on the ring around the collar.

You use PitStop underarm stain remover by pre-treating a stain, rubbing the fabric together or a small brush and letting it sit for 15 to 20 minutes before washing your clothes. PitStop is ineffective on stains already treated with bleach, according to the product’s instructions. The instructions go as far as recommending you throw away stained clothes previously treated with bleach.

But wait—hold on to your shirts…the product did not work for me. I’ve never used bleach on my clothes, so this was not an issue. I even tried the PitStop underarm stain remover on different types of shirts with stains of different ages without any luck. I really hoped PitStop would work when I tested it.

I cannot recommend this product to readers, as it did not work effectively. Too bad.
